How the Invoice Generator helps

Freelancers and small businesses need a clean, correct invoice without signing up for accounting software. Fill in your details, your customer's details and the line items, and the live preview shows exactly what the PDF will look like. Each line can carry its own VAT, GST or sales tax rate; the totals group tax by rate after any discount, as most VAT rules require.

Private by design

The PDF is built by JavaScript on your device. Your customer data, bank details and logo are never uploaded, stored or tracked, and closing the page removes everything.

What a valid invoice usually needs

Most tax authorities require a unique sequential invoice number, the issue date, the supplier's and customer's names and addresses, the supplier's VAT number, a description of goods or services, quantities, unit prices, the tax rate and amount per rate, and the total. Example

10 hours of consulting at €95 with 25% VAT gives a subtotal of €950.00, VAT of €237.50 and a total due of €1,187.50. With a 10% discount the VAT is calculated on €855.00, giving €213.75 VAT and €1,068.75 due.

Is this invoice generator really free?

Yes. There is no account, watermark or limit. The PDF is generated in your browser.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG logo; it is placed at the top left of the PDF and never leaves your device.

Can I use different VAT rates on one invoice?

Yes. Enter a tax rate on each line. The totals show the tax base and amount for every rate separately.
